Serikali
ya awamu ya tano chini ya Rais John Magufuri imeweka msisitizo mkubwa juu
ya kujenga uchumi wa viwanda, Tanzania pamoja na serikali ya China wamefanya makubaliano yanayofikia shilingi bilioni 97 ili kuweza kuinua sekta ya viwanda kupitia mikoa
ya ukanda wa pwani.
Akizungumza
katika mkutano uliowakutanisha wadau mbalimbali wa sekta ya viwanda kutoka nchini China pamoja na Tanzania jijini Dar es salaam waziri wa viwanda na
Biashara Charles Mwijage amesema, fedha hizo zitajumuisha kufanya
maboresho ya ujenzi wa bandari ya bagamoyo na kuweza kuboresha miundo mbinu ya
reli ya kati sambamba na uboleshwaji wa bandari ya Zanzibar.

“Hali ya ukuaji wa uchumi inaenda sambamba na ukuwaji wa sekta ya viwanda ili, kuiwezesha nchi ya Tanzania kufikia malengo yake ya nchi ya uchumi wa kati, sekta ya viwanda hainabudi kuwekewa mkazo, hivyo serikali kwa kulitambua hilo kwa mwaka huu na mwaka ujao imelenga kuleta mageuzi makubwa ya kiuchumi kupitia sekta ya viwanda” Alisema waziri wa viwanda na biashara Charles Mwijage.
Hata hivyo waziri
Mwijage amesema; katika kuhakikisha Tanzania inafikia uchumi wa
viwanda imelenga kutumia fedha hizo katika maeneo mbalimbali ikiwemo ujenzi wa
kiwanda cha vigae katika wilaya mkuranga ambacho kinaendelea kujengwa wakati jumla ya dola milioni 150
zinatarajiwa kutumika kukamilisha kiwanda hicho.
Sambamba na ujenzi wa kiwanda hicho mkoani pwani, serikali
kwa kushirikiana na nchi ya China inatarajia kujenga viwanda vya nguo chenye
urefu wa kilometa za mraba 2,400.

kukuza uhusiano wetu kati yetu na nchi ya china kwani uhusiano wetu na china
niwakitambo kirefu tangu enzi za uhuru amekuwa rafiki wakaribu sana na Tanzania,
hivi karibuni china inatarajia kuanzisha maonesho ya kibiashara nchini china,
Tanzania tumepata mwaliko katika maonesho hayo’’ Aliongeza Waziri Charles
Mwijage.
Aidha
kwa upande wake Naibu waziri wa Biashara wanchini china Quan Keming amesema kutokana naTanzania kuwa na ukuaji wa uchumi wa kasi ikiwemo uboreshwaji
wa miundo mbinu nakuweza kufikia dira ya maendeleo 2025 china itaendelea
kuisaidia Tanzania imekuwa ni nchi rafiki kwa muda mrefu.

Tanzania sign 97/- bil for docks
rehabilitation
CHINA
and Tanzania signed memorandum of understanding for national rehabilitation of
all docks with inclusion of Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar and
bagamoyo
construction worth of 97 /-billion.
The
Ministers for Trade and Industry Tanzania Charles Mwijage and China’s Deputy
Minister Quan Keming jointly signed it at the Ministry of Finance in Dar Es
Salaam yesterday.
The
Minister Mwijage highlighted before the business stakeholders from both
countries that the funds would be utilized accordingly for national economic
development.
However
he said the Central corridor rail will not be left behind as well since it’s
also on the forefront for national development plan.
Besides,
Mwijage briefly said about USD150 m will be used to construct tiles factory at
Mkuranga that is an on going in Coastline district. Soon China is expected to
build textile manufacturing industry of 2,400 Km in the same district.
Quan
Keming said the China’s Government will keep on assisting the Government of the
United Republic of Tanzania for economic and social development. China does
help this Government as its intention is to be fully industrialized for its
people’s enjoyment.
